I was born and raised in Foley, Alabama, as the third of four children. Growing up, school was a challenge for me—I struggled with reading, studying, comprehension, and focus. My parents were baffled and unsure how to help. It wasn’t until I was in the 6th grade that I was diagnosed with dyslexia. Since then, I have grown to love reading, and I now embrace the joys of storytelling. Through my books and my personal story, I hope to inspire children who face similar learning difficulties or other challenges. I have been married to my loving husband, Rob, since 1979. We have 3 wonderful children, 2 sons, and 1 daughter, all grown and married, and 5 amazing grandchildren.
